About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Workforce Costing and Charge Rates Lead to join our team in Northcote. You will manage rate calculations, ensure strict compliance with Australian Awards, and support our systems integration. This role is a hybrid position requiring three days in our Northcote office and two days working from home. You will report directly to the National Manager and work closely with our payroll team.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbox Management: Oversee incoming rates correspondence and guarantee same-day email responses.
- IR Consultation: Consult with the Ratescalc team on industrial relations and enterprise agreement interpretation.
- Client Onboarding: Ensure accurate setup of prospective clients within the Workforce One system.
- Rate Verification: Review and confirm rate accuracy before formal issuance.
- Systems Integration: Support the ongoing development of the Ratescalc and Workforce One integration.
- Document Control: Ensure consistent maintenance and organisation of all rates documentation.
- Compliance: Calculate labour hire rates and ensure full regulatory compliance.
Skills and Experience
- Extensive and proven experience in a complex payroll, rates calculation, or rates compliance role.
- Deep knowledge of interpreting complex Australian Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements (EAs)
- Hands-on experience with automated rate calculation tools, specifically Ratescalc.
- Complex Calculations: Expertise in calculating multi-layered rates including overtime, shift penalties, and allowances.
- Technical familiarity with Workforce One system setup and data entry is highly desirable.
- Sharp analytical skills for complex labour hire rate calculations.
- Exceptional time management to meet strict same-day communication deadlines.
- Cross-Industry Knowledge: Broad experience applying awards across diverse sectors
