MRAEL are currently seeking an eager and hard-working Locksmith Apprentice to join the team at Mackay & Whitsunday Locksmiths.
Our Client, Mackay & Whitsunday Locksmiths specialise in electronic and mechanical high-security keying systems for the mining industry. Having supplied security products and services to Queensland’s mining industry for the past 20 years, they have the experience and knowledge to handle any and all security problems including cuttings keys for use in almost any application; supplying restricted key systems, BiLock, Abloy and basic; supplying master key systems; transponder key cutting; safe sales and support; automotive, commercial and residential lock sales and repairs; mobile workshops; lock fitting; architectural hardware; and 24-hour emergency.
The Apprentice Locksmith will learn all aspects of the locksmithing trade (including automotive locksmithing), including key programming, key cutting, lock installation and ignition repair, servicing, and security hardware fitting. Under supervision, the apprentice will develop the practical skills, technical knowledge, and customer service expertise required to become a qualified locksmith.
Requirements:
- Must be an Australian citizen/resident
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Good problem-solving skills
- Current Drivers lic (or working towards)
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
