MRAEL in partnership with Peabody Energy’s Queensland Operations are seeking highly motivated applicants interested in completing an Electrical Apprenticeship.
This Apprenticeship opportunity will commence in January 2024 and candidates will have the opportunity to work across Peabody's Coppabella and Moorvale Mines.
About the apprenticeship:
With a strong focus on your safety and career development, you will be exposed to a dynamic environment that will challenge you and offer excellent learning and development opportunities, with full support from an MRAEL Field Officer throughout. You will gain professional and personal satisfaction by using your initiative and experience to meet the challenges of working in a complex mining environment.
- Apprentices will commence on a 9 day fortnight roster,
- Local applicants are encouraged to apply, camp accommodation will be provided for DIDO, however you must be able to make your own way to camp.
MRAEL and Peabody Energy are seeking outstanding applicants that possess the following attributes:
- As a minimum you must have completed Year 12 with sound passes in English and Maths
- Have a keen interest in electrical subjects, work experience or hobbies
- Participation in extracurricular activities that promote team work
- Good communication, computer skills, team work and an enthusiasm to learn is what we are looking for
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Completion of relevant pre-apprenticeship, work experience or vocational training will be highly regarded (Certificate II in Electrotechnology)
