Take advantage of the Queensland Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative and discover how to start a rewarding career.

MRAEL, in partnership with Major Training, will be delivering the Certificate II in Electrotechnology Program at no cost to eligible participants in Morayfield.

Participants will be supported by a dedicated MRAEL Mentor to deliver work readiness training and employability skills. You will also be provided with support to obtain successful Apprenticeship job outcomes.

What is ElectroTech Career Start?

This qualification is ideal for candidates who want to start a career in the electrical field and are seeking to develop skills and knowledge in this area. By completing a Certificate II in Electrotechnology, you will be prepared to establish a solid foundation in electrical skills and pursue sustainable employment. This is achieved through the delivery of relevant accredited training and intensive development of employability and work readiness skills, setting you on the path to begin your career.

Eligibility for the program!

To be eligible for the program you must:

  • Be aged over 15 years and no longer at school or have disengaged
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (some Visas)
  • Require complementary services because they have significant barriers to learning and employment or have accessed Australian Government employment services for more than six months and remain unemployed 

Please note current school students are NOT eligible for this program!

Program Specifics

  • Duration: 11 weeks, 5 days per week
  • Commencement Date:  13th May 2024 – 26th July 2024
  • Cost: Free to eligible participants – this program is funded by the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
