MRAEL is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the team at Nestech Engineering as a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice to commence in January 2026.
Nestech Engineering is a small local business, working on equipment for the underground mining industry. Nestech Engineering's Emerald workshop is fully equipped with advanced machinery and tools, capable of meeting the rigorous demands of the mining industry.
Whether its machining, repairs or custom builds, the Nestech Engineering workshop supports the delivery of reliable and high-quality solutions.
This is a great opportunity to learn while you earn, gaining real experience, an industry recognised qualification, and the skills needed to become a fully qualified mechanical fitter.
About the position:
As a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, you'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals, gaining exposure to overhauls, component repairs, hydraulic and cylinder repairs, refurbs and general machining.
What we are looking for:
- A strong willingness to learn with a passion and genuine interest for the industry
- Prior work experience in a similar setting as a trade assistant is highly regarded
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Safety conscious and ability to work effectively in a team
- Mechanically minded
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Hold a current driver’s licence
