 The Opportunity:

The Technical Advisor position plays an integral role within the clients Land Vehicle Systems Branch situated in their MSP Land Division.

In this role you will collaborate with a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team where you will service as the SME in the Technical Advisory space contributing towards shared outcomes for defence.

Your primary objective in this role will be to develop Defence Purchasing Descriptions (DPD) and Processing Engineering Changes for Technical Certification and RODUM investigations.

 

Responsibilities:

Interpret user requirements and develop/review Defence Purchasing Descriptions (DPD)

Investigate RODUM reports and offer insightful technical guidance

Utilise your technical expertise to advise on investigation outcomes. Focussing on legislative compliance, safety, and vehicle availability and readiness

Develop and draft Engineering Changes in support of the CA19 fleet (raise new Engineering changes, conduct CCJOS and prelim design work and support in preliminary hazard identification for development of Vehicle Hazard Logs)

Engage in CA19 knowledge sharing through group forums and active discussion to develop logical and effective outcomes. Participate in collective Section Working Groups and System Safety Working Groups

 

What you will bring:

Hold an active Negative Vetting 1 AGSVA Security Clearance (or above)

Demonstrated track record of technical expertise within the automotive and heavy vehicle industry

Understanding of automotive legislation

Understanding of the Australian Dangerous Goods (ADG) code

Understanding of Australian Design Rules (ADR) compliance

Prior experience within Defence or Defence Industry
