About the Role

Due to our continued growth/success, we are looking for suitably qualified and experienced Superintendent with preferably Electrical background for their exciting renewables projects within Western Australia. The Point of hire will be Perth and have a roster of 3:1.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and attract relevant construction workforce to suit project requirements 
  • Lead relevant work teams within the project scope and demonstrate and lead appropriate workplace behaviours and conduct 
  • Lead safety, quality, and environment culture onsite in line with the Monford safety culture 
  • Ensure all personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers to adopt exemplary safety behaviours and lead key risk management activities on assigned projects. 
  • Guide and mentor, the workforce on environmental impact and implement effective controls to mitigate risk and be more risk-averse to avoid becoming complaisant. 
  • Effectively manage subcontractor and supplier relationships on the project and demonstrate a strong relationship with clients and client teams throughout the project lifecycle 
  • Analyse subcontractor strengths and weaknesses and select accordingly to achieve project outcomes. 
  • Lead Supervisors to communicate effectively with the client and Engineers 
  • Read, interpret, and provide input into the construction program. Forecast and plan for expected resource requirements well in advance of required need to ensure program achievement 
  • Identify and communicate scope and specification changes to ensure Monford’s entitlements to claim is protected 

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have the following experience and skills;

  • 5+ years’ experience in the Construction Industry with minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • Self-motivated and hard-working
  • Work in fast paced team & being able to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to encourage co-workers
  • Understand safety procedures and recognise hazards
  • Ability to focus and keep calm under pressure
