About Monford Group

Built from the ground up and led by a hands-on management team, Monford’s success comes down to integrity, quality, and a genuine passion for doing things the right way.

As a leader in construction, we deliver landmark projects across the Infrastructure, Resources, and Energy sectors — safely, sustainably, and on time. From Construction-Only to Design & Construct and EPC, we’re a one-stop shop with a proud reputation for excellence and customer-focused delivery.

About the Role

As we continue to deliver key projects across Australia, we’re looking for an experienced Planning Manager to join our Perth-based Head Office team.

In this full-time, permanent role reporting to the COO, you’ll lead project planning and controls across some of our most ambitious renewable and infrastructure projects. You’ll also work closely with both the Pre-Contracts and Operations teams, driving accuracy, consistency, and collaboration from tender through to delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of schedule risk analysis, becoming the go-to subject matter expert for planning excellence.
  • Develop and manage detailed tender programs in Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with scope, client expectations, and project objectives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to optimise programs — covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline delivery, boost labour efficiency, and reduce environmental impacts.
  • Maintain regular communication with site teams, providing updates on progress, milestones, and potential delays.
  • Prepare and present look-ahead schedules that keep construction operations running smoothly.

About You

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years’ experience in a similar role specialising in detailed planning and construction logic.
  • Proven background in renewable energy projects (large-scale PV highly regarded).
  • Solid on-site construction experience across planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, critical path methods, and Earned Value principles.
  • Additional project management or controls certifications will be highly regarded.

Why You’ll Love Working with Us

  • Career Development: Long-term career pathways, paid training, and support to grow your expertise.
  • Employee Benefits: Market-leading remuneration, novated leasing, and lifestyle discounts from hundreds of retailers.
  • Great Culture: A collaborative, people-first environment where our RIPPA values — Resilience, Innovation, Positivity, Performance, and Approachability — shine through everything we do.

Ready to Join Us?

At Monford, our RIPPA values — Resilience, Innovation, Positivity, Performance, and Approachability — are at the heart of everything we do. If you’re ready to be part of a team that values integrity, teamwork, and excellence in delivery, this is your chance to make an impact.
