About the Role

Due to our continued growth/success, we are looking for suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our Head office in Perth. Reporting to the Pre-Contracts Manager you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting bids from concept through to completion. You will ensure tenders are managed efficiently, meeting all deadlines and quality standards, and contribute to the development of winning strategies for high-value projects.

In addition, some of your key tasks will include:

  • Lead and support bid preparation from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery for senior management review.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with sub-contractors, suppliers, and consultants to secure competitive pricing and value.
  • Explore and propose creative value engineering opportunities to enhance bid competitiveness.
  • Mentor and share expertise with junior team members to foster professional growth.
  • Assist in developing tender strategies and manage all tender deliverables.
  • Identify and document project risks, ensuring they are accounted for in the tender process.
  • Ensure all tender submissions meet client requirements and closure deadlines.
  • Manage post-tender correspondence and respond to queries under the guidance of the Pre-Contracts Manager.
  • Support the Pre-Contracts Manager and Commercial Manager in negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following; 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in electrical estimating, ideally within an EPC or large-scale electrical engineering environment.
  • Proficiency with estimating software such as Pronamics Expert or similar platforms.
  • Strong ability to interpret and analyse contractual documents, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Extensive knowledge of contract tendering procedures and best practices.
  • Experience in renewable energy or switchyard/substation projects is highly regarded.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
