About the Role

Due to our continued growth and success, we are looking for suitably qualified and experienced Planning Manager to join our team based in the Perth head office. Reporting to our COO, this role will be responsible for project planning and controls. You will work closely with the Pre-contracts Manager supporting tenders/bids team and Operations team as required.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Produce and manage tender programme in Primavera P6 according to the scope of works, client expectation, project objectives and deliverables
  • Development of the tender programme must be in co-ordination with Project Teams and in accordance with the client's Project requirements.
  • Hands-on planning preparation, in conjunction with Project Team, optimise working programme to meet project objectives covering design, procurement, enabling, construction, commissioning, handover, and client key dates as appropriate.
  • Investigate opportunities to produce improved schedules and labour efficiencies, reduced environmental impacts and streamlining processes. 
  • Establish communication with site teams to receive weekly status of works and physical progress data. 
  • Perform weekly updates of project schedule, communicate critical changes, milestone dates and highlight delays and potential schedule miss to the project manager. 
  • Prepare look ahead schedules to support site construction operations. 


About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following; 

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • Proven experience with a minimum of 10 years in engineering with experience in renewable energy industry will be highly desirable.
  • On-site construction experience related to planning, scheduling, progress measurement, earn value analyses and reporting.
  • Proficient in use of scheduling software systems particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. 
  • Sound understanding of project control processes particularly critical path method, principles of Earn Value system based on tangible quantities, unit rates and ‘Rules of Credits’. 
  • Any additional Project Management or Project Controls certifications are valuable.
