About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer - Mechanical to join our project delivery team. This is a hands-on site role where you will play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;
- Develop design briefs, reports, and specifications in line with client and stakeholder requirements.
- Prepare, review, and maintain design and project documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality standards.
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and assessments to verify installation, maintenance, and performance of mechanical systems.
- Support the planning, procurement, and delivery of mechanical equipment, materials, and plant, including estimating requirements and costs.
- Conduct research and recommend technologies, design solutions, and methodologies to improve project delivery and efficiency.
- Oversee material take-offs, monitor contract compliance, and assist with project claims.
- Coordinate and work collaboratively with project managers, senior engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, including risk analysis, JHAs, and corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Assist in developing and implementing ITPs, quality control procedures, and maintenance schedules.
- Monitor plant and equipment performance, recommend improvements, and coordinate upgrades or modifications as required.
- Participate in training, contribute to workforce efficiency initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Document and maintain accurate records, ensuring all work aligns with contractual obligations and company procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of site-based experience in mechanical engineering within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical plant, systems, and equipment, including design, procurement, and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental best practice.
