Senior Front-End Developer

The opportunity

As a Senior Front-End Developer at Mipac, you will focus on ensuring our clients’ have a positive experience when using our industrial software products. You will work closely with product owners and developers to design and deliver exciting features with different technologies.

 Free of line management responsibilities, you will provide mentorship and guidance to other developers in this rapidly growing team and lead by example producing succinct, robust and performant code. As a key member of the team in this hands on position you will:

• Be a passionate advocate for the best user experience, crafting interfaces that are as intuitive as they are beautiful;
• Design and implement complex ideas in a way that Engineers and Developers at all levels can understand and contribute to;
• Insist on high standards for code quality while respecting deadlines; and
• Help others leverage your expertise, by coaching and mentoring in the team.
• Contribute to the professional development of Engineers and Developers, improving their technical and user-interface design knowledge.

About You

Ideally, you will:

• Comfortable thinking high-level or coding as circumstances require;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Able to thrive in an environment where there is ambuigity;
• Experience designing UI using Figma, passionate about UX, and good attention to detail;
• Web application development experience with React or other frameworks, modern Javascript, HTML and CSS;
• An interest in functional programming - maybe you have experience with Elm, F# + Fable or Elixir?;
• Agile software development team experience – you have experienced what works and what doesn't; and
• Write effective, scalable code that is easy to test and debug.
