Millennium Services Group is looking for a Cleaning Supervisor for a busy Brisbane City retail centre.

This is an active, on-the-floor role. You’ll complete cleaning duties alongside your team while managing the daily service, supporting staff and acting as the main point of contact for the client. You’ll represent Millennium on site and help ensure the centre is presented well throughout the day.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading cleaners on shift, allocating work and checking that tasks are completed to standard.
• Responding to spills, hazards and client requests while keeping the team’s daily work on track.
• Being the first point of contact for the client on day-to-day cleaning matters, providing updates and following through on requests.
• Managing site rosters, shift coverage and leave arrangements in coordination with the operations team.
• Inducting and training cleaners in site procedures, safe work practices, equipment use and cleaning standards.
• Conducting site inspections, identifying areas that need attention and following up with the team.
• Coordinating contractors and checking that scheduled or additional works are completed and recorded.
• Maintaining clear records, including task sign-offs, training, inspections, incidents and equipment issues.

About you

You’re a capable cleaner who also enjoys leading people. You can set clear expectations, show someone how a task should be done and build a team that works well even when you’re away from the site.

You’ll be comfortable speaking with the client, managing competing priorities and taking ownership of issues through to resolution. Experience supervising a cleaning team in a retail centre or another busy public environment will be highly regarded.
