About The Opportunity

 

Our Americas team (Canada, USA, Central & South America) are leading Micromine’s growth plans, and they are currently searching for a Business Development Manager, Geology in Vancouver. In this role you will build and convert pipelines of leads into sales of Micromine's exploration solution, Micromine Origin.

 

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, Americas, your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Managing the end-to-end sales process, including nurturing prospects, demonstrating solutions, handling objections, and closing deals
  • A focus on hunting and bringing in new clients for Micromine Origin
  • Developing and executing strategies to identify potential clients
  • Contacting and qualifying new leads
  • Ensuring optimal product delivery and client training via the Service team
  • Participating in marketing events such as trade shows and product launches

 

About You

 

You will have a proven background in business development, including B2B sales, and a successful track record of delivering new clients.

 

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

 

  • Experienced in the Mining industry is preferred
  • Post Secondary degree in Mining Engineering, Geology or related is preferred
  • Experience with selling software / SaaS solutions is required
  • Well-versed in managing the full end-to-end sales process
  • Passionate about taking a consultative approach to sales
  • Strong prospecting and qualification skills
  • Familiarity with managing sales activity via a CRM platform
