About the Opportunity

Micromine is seeking experienced Sales Managers, with a background in Geology or Mining, to lead our new business sales teams in the AMEE region. Based in Johannesburg, these are pivotal leadership roles, responsible for shaping sales strategy, developing talent and accelerating revenue across the relevant software solutions.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager AMEE, you will play a key role in developing, executing and reviewing sales strategies aligned to Micromine’s growth ambitions. You’ll lead and inspire a team of sales professionals while remaining hands-on with strategic opportunities. This is your chance to:

  • Drive regional revenue through strong pipeline management and accurate forecasting
  • Win new customers across either Geology or Mining solutions
  • Engage senior and C-level stakeholders on complex sales opportunities
  • Track market trends and competitor activity to inform commercial decisions
  • Represent Micromine at industry events and key customer engagements

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience in leading and managing sales professionals. Your strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills set you up for success. Other requirements are:

  • Experience selling software solutions at both enterprise and transactional levels
  • Mining industry experience (highly regarded)
  • A successful sales track record with accurate forecasting capability
  • CRM expertise and disciplined pipeline management
  • Relevant sales methodology training and tertiary qualification
  • A passion for driving growth and making an impact
  • Availability to travel
