About Us

Mining is one of the most data-intensive and operationally complex industries - yet much of that complexity still relies on fragmented systems and manual workflows.

Micromine has been addressing this since 1986, building software that transforms geological and operational data into scalable, usable systems across the mining lifecycle. Now part of The Weir Group, we’re accelerating our technology evolution, modernising platforms, improving performance at scale and solving real-world challenges where software must operate reliably in demanding environments

What We Offer

An established global business, that is growing fast, with great benefits:

  • A competitive salary with opportunities for professional development
  • Comprehensive medical and health benefits
  • Opportunity for career development
  • A team first culture and the chance to work within the mining technology industry

About The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, field-connected position where you’ll work directly with mining operations to implement and optimize fleet management and production systems that influence daily decisions on site.

As a Product Specialist for Micromine Pitram, based in our office in Santiago Chile, you will partner with mining companies across the Americas region to ensure their operations are running with accurate data, optimized workflows and real-time visibility.

If you have experience in mining systems, technical support, or operational technology and want to step into a role with greater impact, visibility, and global exposure, this is where that transition happens.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, Mine Control (Americas), your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drive real-time operational decision-making on active mine sites
  • Implement and optimize systems that improve production visibility and efficiency
  • Partner directly with engineers and site teams to solve complex operational challenges
  • Influence how mining technology is used and evolved in real-world environments
  • Deliver measurable impact on performance, adoption, and data-driven outcomes

About You

You are a qualified engineer, or hold a comparable qualification, with hands-on underground mining experience and a strong interest in technology-driven solutions. You are confident in a client-facing environment and comfortable working onsite or in a hybrid capacity at client locations, with the flexibility to travel as required.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • Experience in mining systems, technical support, OT, or software implementation
  • A degree in IT, Mining Engineering, Geology, Mechatronics, or similar
  • Working knowledge of databases and networking (e.g. SQL, Oracle)
  • Experience delivering training or working closely with end users
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Open to travel (approx. 25 – 30%) across the region and globally

Apply Now

If you’re looking for a role where you can apply your technical skills in a practical, operational environment and see the direct impact of your work on mining performance, we’d like to hear from you.
