About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Finance APAC, the Accounts Receivable Officer’s role is primarily responsible for managing the accounts receivable cycle, invoicing customers, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely collection of payments. The Accounts Receivable Officer will support the Management Accountant West, with the responsibilities of the Australia Finance team.

  • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, reconciliations, and collections.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions and customer records.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and support customers with payment inquiries.
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, and customer service teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Education & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a multinational company.
  • Experience with using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Exposure to NetSuite would be nice to have but not mandatory.
  • Whilst not essential, experience with multi-currency and overseas transactions would be useful.
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite, including Excel to an intermediate level.

 

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable:

  • Generating and sending invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  • Reconciling accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy of financial transactions. Following up on overdue payments and arranging for debt collection if necessary.
  • Resolving billing discrepancies and disputes.
  • Processing customer payments and updating accounts receivable records.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer transactions and interactions.
  • Generating aging reports and analyzing accounts receivable data.
  • Providing customer service regarding collection issues, payment inquiries, and disputes. Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports related to accounts receivable.

Miscellaneous:

  • Collaborating with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing and payment issues. Conducting credit checks on new customers and monitoring credit limits.
  • Assisting with the preparation of cash flow forecasts and budgeting related to accounts receivable.
  • Adhering to the company’s Finance Charter. · Other tasks as directed by your manager
