About The Opportunity

As the Finance Manager, based at our Bryanston office in Johannesburg, you will ensure Micromine meets its tax, legal, and accounting compliance requirements through best-practice governance and control across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe (AMEE).

Reporting directly to the Regional Manager (AMEE), your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all day-to-day finance and accounting operations for the AMEE region.
  • Working with Head Office to develop and implement accounting policies and control processes.
  • Preparing monthly profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitoring actual expenditure against approved budgets and reforecasts.
  • Overseeing annual audit and tax clearance certificate processes.
  • Validating purchase order requests and maintaining control of outstanding debtors.
  • Assisting the Regional Manager with HR and Health & Safety administration.

About You

You will have a proven management accounting background, including an understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance.
  • Experience with managing local audit requirements.
  • Proficiency with ERP accounting software.
  • Competency with the MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel.
