About The Opportunity

 

Our Americas team (USA, Canada, Central & South America) is leading Micromine’s growth plans, and they are currently searching for a Geologist, Technical Pre-Sales Consultant located in Vancouver. In this role you will be responsible for delivering high quality pre-sales activity for Micromine Origin, including technical product demonstrations, tenders, proof of concept model builds, software evaluation, campaigns, promotions, conferences and events.


Micromine Origin is a comprehensive exploration, modelling and resource estimation solution. 

 

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Assist the sales team by providing technical support during pre-sales demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events as requested
  • Create and present strategic technical demonstrations to customers with solution and value focus
  • Provide training to current and new software users. Such training may take place at a Micromine office, at a client’s site, or at a third-party venue such as a university computer laboratory
  • Liaise with the product development team and software users during the software design cycle. This may involve canvassing users to determine the functionality of a new component, and then writing a design brief for the product development team
  • Assist with the promotion of training courses and maintenance agreements

 

About You

 

You will have a background in exploration or mining geology positions.

 

You have had an exposure to account management/customer success or have proven communication, presentation and relationship building skills.

 

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

 

  • Possess a tertiary degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience with geological or mining software solutions
  • 2+ years of experience operational experience on a mine site
  • Written and verbal proficiency in English
  • Experience with customer success/support or having proven presentation and relationship building skills are not required, but a bonus
