About The Opportunity
Our Americas team is currently seeking a Mine Planning Consultant in Chile. Based out of Santiago, you will play a key support role for customers of our intuitive open-pit mine planning solution, Micromine Alastri. In this role you will be responsible for delivering high quality pre and post sales support activity, including technical product demonstrations, tenders, proof of concept model builds, software evaluation, campaigns, promotions, conferences and events etc.
Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager- Mining, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist the sales team by providing technical support during pre-sales demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events as requested
- Developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
- Create and present strategic technical demonstrations to customers with a solution and value focus
- Provide training to current and new software users. Such training may take place at a client’s site, at a third-party venue or online
- Provide our clients with telephone, email and face to face support
- BETA testing new versions and products, providing feedback, and assessing impacts on support procedures and documentation
About You
You will have a background within operational mining, focusing on mine planning.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering
- Experience with Open Pit mining
- 5+ years experience with mine planning and scheduling
- Operational onsite mining experience
- Experience with general purpose mining software
- Experience with gold and copper mining
- Client facing experience in a software or consulting services company preferred
- The ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time- throughout LATAM
- Spanish and English professional fluency (spoken and written)
