About The Opportunity

Micromine is continuing to invest in data and analytics capability across the business. This Senior Business Intelligence Analyst position is a 12-month fixed term maternity leave cover and will play a key role in delivering commercial insights and high-quality reporting that supports decision-making across sales, forecasting, and business performance.

This is a senior analytical role that requires more than operational reporting. You will be responsible for interrogating complex datasets, challenging assumptions, and translating data into meaningful commercial narratives for senior stakeholders.

• Maintain and develop commercial reporting and analytics outputs using Power BI.
• Work primarily with CRM and sales performance data sourced from NetSuite, with scope to support future integration of additional data sources.
• Contribute to data transformation logic and analytics design thinking across multiple systems.
• Produce executive-level reporting with clear commentary on key business performance drivers.
• Perform rigorous sense-checking and validation of weekly sales, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
• Engage with senior business stakeholders, including General Managers, to extract commercial insight that may not be visible in system data alone.
• Challenge data quality and underlying assumptions where appropriate.
• Support the ongoing development of automation and analytics capability across the business.

About You

You are a highly analytical professional with strong commercial judgement and exceptional attention to detail. You are comfortable working with imperfect data and can independently translate business questions into practical analytical solutions.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• Experience delivering business intelligence and visual analytics solutions.
• A strong understanding of back-end data considerations alongside front-end reporting.
• The confidence to engage and challenge senior stakeholders.
• The ability to think conceptually about analytics execution rather than requiring detailed step-by-step instruction.
• A finance, commercial, or data analytics background is highly desirable.
