About The Opportunity
As the Technical Specialist, based out of our Vancouver office, you will play a key support role for customers of our fleet management and mine production system, Micromine Pitram. Being at the forefront of client interactions, your work will solidify customer relationships and ensure their satisfaction.
Reporting to the Head of Business Unit, Micromine Pitram, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing telephone, email, and face-to-face support for licence holders.
- Conducting training with clients and in-house staff (in-person and online).
- Assisting with Micromine Pitram implementations across the Americas, as well as globally when required.
- Ensuring enhancement requests, bugs, and development issues are raised and resolved.
- BETA testing new versions and products to check improved functionality.
- Supporting the Sales team during technical demonstrations, trade shows, and other events.
About You
You will have proven experience within help desk, technical support or technical training positions.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in either Information Technology, Mechatronics, Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline
- You have a working knowledge of networking and database technologies (e.g. SQL and Oracle).
- You have experience conducting client trainings
- You have strong customer relationship building skills and experience
- The ability to travel, nationally or internationally, to manage Micromine Pitram implementations (estimated 20-25% of the year)
- Whilst not essential, previous exposure to the Mining sector would be useful
- Must be based in Greater Vancouver, purely remote candidates will not be considered
