About The Opportunity
Our Micromine Australia team, based in Perth (HQ), are currently seeking a vibrant Geologist to join them. In this role you will provide technical support for Micromine Origin customers, whilst also assisting with client training and presales activity for our customers.
Reporting to the Operations Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing Level 2 and 3 support for customers to solve complex geological problems
- Delivering training courses for clients as needed (face-to-face and online).
- Ensuring enhancement requests, bugs, and development issues are raised and resolved.
- Providing technical and presales support for Micromine’s global network of personnel and partners.
- BETA testing new products and versions, providing feedback on new features, and assessing impacts on support procedures and documentation.
About You
You will have a background within geology or exploration roles, or experience working for a mining consulting company.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Recent experience with general purpose mining software (e.g. one of Micromine’s suite of products, Surpac, Datamine, Vulcan, XPAC) gained either during your studies or within a work environment.
- A recognised tertiary earth science or engineering qualification.
- Previous experience with technical support and training would be beneficial.
