About The Opportunity

 

Our Americas team is currently seeking a Mining Planning Consultant based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. You will play a key support role for customers of our intuitive open-pit mine planning solution, Micromine Alastri. In this role you will be responsible for delivering high quality pre and post sales support activity, including technical product demonstrations, tenders, proof of concept model builds, software evaluation, training, implementations etc.

 

Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager- Mining, your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Assist the sales team by providing technical support during pre-sales demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events as requested
  • Developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Provide our clients with telephone, email and face to face support
  • Provide training to current and new software users. Such training may take place at a client’s site, or at a third-party venue such as a university computer laboratory
  • BETA testing new versions and products, providing feedback, and assessing impacts on support procedures and documentation

 

About You

 

You will have a background within operational mining roles, and/or have experience working for a mining technology company.

 

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

 

  • A tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering
  • Experienced with Open Pit mining
  • Experience with mine planning and/or scheduling
  • Experience with mining software – preferably mine planning software
  • The ability to travel, nationally or internationally, to manage Micromine Alastri implementations
  • English (professional fluency) and Portuguese (native fluencey) language skills
