We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a proactive and organised Interface Specialist to join our Aviation team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The Terminals - Interface Specialist is responsible for contributing to the design, development & delivery of business improvements across all Terminal projects including innovative product development, infrastructure projects & process improvements, and service enhancements and people change projects. As an Interface Specialist you will support and work alongside Interface Managers (Terminal) and provide input into the development roadmap for both terminal operations and experience enhancements that support our airline partners. You will work on projects from initiation through to the delivery for the Aviation business unit and support other business units with the aviation engagement.
As key team member and representing the aviation business unit you will contribute to (and at times lead) engagement with both internal and external parties and build a strong partnership approach with our airline customers. You will champion the traveller experience and operational outcomes to ensure the right solution is delivered at the right time to meet the business needs now and into the future.

Key responsibilities:
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Contribute to the development & deliver business improvements across Aviation Operations including processes, systems, people and infrastructure projects from inception, business case development, funding & approvals to delivery and go live ensuring ORAT activities successfully completed.
- Contribute to (and at times lead) the delivery of an efficient and effective Operations (key focus on terminal infrastructure and operating models)/Capital Project interface from design to delivery & go live to enhance the traveller and operator experience.
- Represent the aviation stakeholder group and ensure their needs and requirements are represented.
- Ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement and sign-offs.
- Contribute to (and at times lead) the consistent delivery of ORAT (Operational Readiness Activation and Transition) for terminal projects in relation to customer impact, regulatory requirements, readiness, cost, and compliance across Operational scope of the project.
- Ensure development of ORAT plan and effective execution of the plan.
- Development of relevant trial and implementation plans.
- Ensure compliance and risk mitigation Ensure compliance and risk mitigation through design, construction, delivery and ORAT with appropriate stakeholder engagement and sign off.
- Contribute to and delivery the stakeholder management and communications strategy for relevant terminalprojects and operational go-live of terminal infrastructure.
- Ensure all stakeholders focus on the customer, safety, timescales, and cost-effective delivery of projects.
- Build strong partnerships with local airline/GHA teams.
- Ensure that the development and implementation of terminal projects, process and operational improvement initiatives are supported by appropriate policy and procedures to maximise their impact for the customer, meet operational/compliance and asset management requirements and deliver cost efficiency on an ongoing basis.
- Design and where required re-engineer process and procedures to support the operation and customer.
The successful candidate will have:
- Good knowledge and experience within the Aviation industry with a focus on airport operations or airline customer/operations delivery
- Frontline experience recommended in supporting the development of the right infrastructure solutions and operating models
- Understand passenger flows, airline product offerings and operational systems
- Experience in designing functional work areas
- Experience working on large scale projects from initiation to completion
- Experience in project coordination
- Experience in the aviation industry in a coordinator or advisor role
