We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Manager to join our Integrated Operations Centre (IOC). This role is accountable for managing and maintaining full situational awareness of the events occurring within the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC).
The Airport Integrated Operations Manager engages with the Senior Manager Integrated Operations and wider business units and stakeholders across the airport community to understand measures of success, and ensure day of operations decisions made are aligned to the strategic intent of Melbourne Airport.
This role is accountable for the effective running of the Integrated Operation streams for each shift, providing leadership to all IOC streams (i.e. cells) in accordance with applicable workflows, policies and frameworks in place. IOC streams include Resource Allocation, Security and Emergency Operations, Landside Operations, Property & Facilities Management, Airfield Operations, Customer Service and Communications. Decisions from various IOC streams will be escalated to the Airport Integrated Operations Shift Manager, and will require actions to be broadly communicated.

- This position is the triage position for Crisis & Emergency Management function
- The Airport Integrated Operations Manager role requires high adaptability and comfort with unanticipated changes of direction or approach. A successful incumbent has a tendency toward steadfast pursuit of long term goals, in spite of obstacles, discouragement or distraction.
- You will be required to input into and development of continuous process, procedural and system changes in a controlled manner to support the operation, with a focus on developing and maintaining a quality management approach.
- This role will be a leadership role which will require a advanced capability in managing difficult stakeholders, leading through adversity, lifting engagement and aligning teams to broader strategic outcomes.
We are looking for applications from candidates of the following background, skills and experience:
- Management experience in a dynamic and operations heavy environment serving a complex customer base and stakeholders and preferably coordination of external service providers
- Ability to apply relevant regulatory and statutory obligations relating to aviation, security and safety
- Aviation experience is an advantage, but not necessarily mandatory
- Contract management and property experience are also assets
- Demonstrable experience in developing/applying quality management approach to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrable experience in engaging, aligning and managing teams through change using a variety of communication and influencing techniques
