We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a bright and ambitious People & Rewards Coordinator and to join our People and Rewards team on a 12 month contract.

Reporting to the Head of People & Rewards, the People & Rewards Coordinator role is an integral part of the People & Culture -People and Rewards team. The Coordinator is responsible for supporting the ongoing coordination of the people operations, remuneration and benefits programs, policies and procedures. As the People & Rewards Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for team members seeking information on rewards, benefits and you will play a role in onboarding employees, processing amendments and HRIS data maintenance and process optimisation, while delivering exceptional customer service. This role supports the delivery of core HR operational activities, benefits administration, employee experience initiatives, and cyclical People & Culture processes that enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.

Key responsibilities:

The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Employee Benefits & Employee Value Proposition (EVP): 

  • Coordinate the administration, maintenance and communication of employee benefits programs including insurance, superannuation, salary packaging, wellness and other non-remuneration benefit initiatives 
  • Partner with vendors and other service providers to deliver benefit programs including health and financial wellness and other offerings 
  • Assisting with employee communication and education about team member benefits 
  • Coordinate and maintain accurate benefits and EVP documentation, policies, procedures, forms and vendor contracts 
  • Maintain documentation and the ongoing review and updates of the Employee Handbook 

Administer Rewards & Recognition Programs including: 

  • Annual “Above & Beyond” employee recognition program, including nomination process, award dinner planning and prizes 
  • Years of Service Recognition program, includes monitoring employees who reach milestones, administration of awards and notification via instant reward platform 
  • Administer Instant Rewards program including tracking manager approvals, managing budgets and issuing rewards  
  • Monthly reporting to provide insights to People & Rewards 
  • Identify trends and insights to support decision making 

Employee Engagement: 

  • Support annual Engagement Survey and Pulse Survey administration and communication 
  • Assist in preparing engagement survey reports and information packs 
  • Support in the delivery of the annual airport Family & Friends Day 
  • Assist with People & Culture events and initiatives that enhance team member experience 
  • Collaborate with team members and business units to develop programs and procedures that enhance employee relations and support a positive work environment 

HR Operations Support:

  • Support the administration of HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, variations, offboarding, letters and HR documentation 
  • Contribute to the improvement of manager/team member self-service experience 
  • Assist in providing first-line HR systems support troubleshooting and data maintenance 
  • Assist with raising purchase orders, invoice reconciliation and credit card administration 
  • Assist in maintaining The Landing, People Central and other applications to offer comprehensive details for team members to access and understand information on benefits programs, policies and programs ensuring clarity and alignment with EVP messaging. 
  • Undertake periodic reviews to ensure program/plans are up to date and delivering desired outcomes 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong data accuracy & attention to detail 
  • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously 
  • Understanding of employee benefits programs 
  • Effective collaboration with peers across People & Culture functions 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Ability to prioritise projects and tasks, operate to deadlines and meet deadlines
  • Function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients  
  • Experience in HRIS and sound working knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • An understanding of remuneration and benefit administration 
  • Experience in creating, maintain and updating information and data sources  
  • Demonstrated experience (2+years) in remuneration and human resources roles within corporate environment 
  • Experience dealing with business leaders and team members in a complex corporate environment  
  • Proven ability to be analytical & handle data effectively with the ability to present data in an engaging way
