Reporting directly to the Chief of Aviation, you’ll lead the commercial finance strategy that underpins Melbourne Airport’s aeronautical business. From pricing and long-term financial planning to investment analysis and regulatory reporting, this role will see you partnering closely with executives and external stakeholders to drive sustainable growth and deliver exceptional outcomes for our airline partners and passengers alike.

Key responsibilities:
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead commercial and financial strategy across aeronautical revenue streams, including airline facilities, lounges, and operational spaces.
- Oversee budgeting, pricing, billing, and reporting processes, ensuring financial rigour and commercial excellence.
- Provide actionable commercial insights to support infrastructure investments, property developments, and airline partnerships.
- Champion continuous improvement across financial systems, reporting, and data integrity
- Manage statutory and regulatory requirements including ACCC and government submissions.
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
The successful candidate will have:
- CA or CPA qualified with extensive experience in senior finance leadership, ideally within aviation, infrastructure, or large-scale commercial environments.
- Proven ability to interpret complex data and influence strategic business decisions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and deliver clear outcomes.
- Commercially astute with an eye for process improvement and innovation.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Adaptive Planning is highly regarded.
