Finance Manager

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a proactive and driven Finance Manager to join our Finance team.

The Finance Manager plays a key role in leading APAC’s financial control and accounting operations, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and well-controlled financial reporting and statutory requirements.

Leading the day-to-day operations of the accounting team, you’ll oversee a broad range of financial control activities including fixed assets, treasury accounting, tax, technical accounting, statutory reporting, financial controls and audit. The role will drive continuous improvement, strengthening financial governance and enhancing policies and processes, while building the capability and performance of the team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the ongoing development of APAC’s finance function.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced finance professional who brings strong technical accounting expertise, sound commercial judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships across the organisation. The Finance Manager will coach and develop accounting team members while partnering with stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial outcomes across APAC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Lead financial accounting and reporting:

• Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate journals, reconciliations, balance sheet integrity and timely financial reporting.

Manage fixed assets, capital and tax accounting:

• Lead accounting for APAC’s significant asset base and provide financial inputs to long-term modelling, capital planning and complex tax matters.

Partner on treasury and liquidity:

• Work closely with Treasury on funding and debt transactions, cash flow forecasting and liquidity requirements, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment and reporting.

Drive technical accounting and statutory reporting:

• Lead the preparation of financial statements, annual reporting and Audit, Risk and Finance Committee materials, while supporting evolving sustainability reporting requirements.

Strengthen controls and continuous improvement:

• Identify opportunities to improve Financial Control processes, systems and reporting

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Experience in a medium to large finance team in a public or private company
• CA or CPA qualified
• Strong technical accounting knowledge leading month-end, year-end, statutory reporting, audit and financial control activities.
• Sound commercial judgement, business acumen and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess options, manage risk and make sound recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop team members, including setting expectations, reviewing performance and building capability
• A continuous improvement mindset
