We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Corporate Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. In this newly created role, you will use your financial modelling skills and analytical insight to provide information and analysis for APAC’s leadership team to make decisions, both on our existing and future investments.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance, the primary objective of the role is to work closely with the Head of Corporate Finance and the rest of the Corporate Finance team to support many critical business activities including corporate valuation, long term business planning, airline agreement negotiations, and strategic growth capital project assessments.

Key responsibilities:

The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist in rebuilding, maintaining and updating the Long-Term Corporate Motel (LTM) suite. modeling and analysis tasks will include:

  • Model, rebuild and regular refinements and updates to support budget/business plan/valuation cycles.
  • Assist in the evaluation of business plans, business cases and projects
  • Airline agreements negotiation related modelling and analysis to support pricing strategies
  • Strategic growth capital project assessments: support the development of robust business cases through the interrogation of assumptions, risk assessments, modelled scenarios and that hurdle rate obligations and other necessary parameters are considered
  • Debt/capital structure analysis
  • Valuation sensitivity/scenario analysis: liaise with relevant stakeholders to develop and assess scenarios required to test assumptions, make recommendations and drive informed investment decisions
  • Monitor and report on key business and financial KPIs relevant to business initiatives to drive and measure the desired outcomes
  • Provide financial support and advice to the business

The successful candidate will have:

  • Advanced financial modelling skills, experience with 3-way (BS, PL & CFS) financial modelling, and familiarity with Excel modelling best practices. Prior experience with VBA coding and macros will be highly favourable.
  • Detailed understanding of corporate finance principles, including valuation and capital structures
  • Experience with applying accounting theory to financial analysis, including, financial statement relationships & impacts; Depreciation; and Tax, etc.
  • Sound understanding of commercial drivers of infrastructure assets will be useful but not compulsory
  • Ideally trained within Business Modelling / Valuation / Corporate Finance teams in a professional services firm, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Adaptable and collaborative, you excel in both teamwork and independent work
  • Attention to detail: You'll possess high levels of attention to detail; with the accuracy of the information, you compile so that your stakeholders can make the right decisions
  • You'll demonstrate a strong work ethic, thrive in challenging roles with enthusiasm, and exhibit high levels of motivation and drive. Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Stakeholder engagement skills, communication skills
  • Continuous process improvement: questions the way things are done and suggest ways to continuously improve
  • Passionate about learning & development, open to sharing ideas, knowledge and expertise.
  • Relevant Finance / Accounting / Commerce degree
