We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a proactive and results-oriented Senior Sustainability Advisor (M3R/Major Capital Projects) to join our Environment & Sustainability team.
The Senior Sustainability Advisor (Major Capital Projects) is a strategic and delivery‑focused role responsible for driving, embedding, tracking and assuring sustainability outcomes across APAC’s major infrastructure projects.
The role acts as a trusted advisor to Project Directors and delivery teams, ensuring sustainability commitments are translated into practical, measurable actions and that performance is accurately tracked, verified and reported across the project lifecycle.
This role is a key driver of sustainability initiatives on major projects, supporting APAC’s broader ESG, climate and sustainability strategy and ESG commitments. The role works closely with Environment & Sustainability Manager, Project Directors, Project Managers and delivery partners to embed sustainability requirements into planning, design, procurement, construction and handover activities.It provides strategic and technical sustainability advice, oversees contractor performance, and ensures sustainability outcomes are tracked, verified and reported accurately across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Sustainability & Strategy Delivery: Implement sustainability principles across APAC projects and provide expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with project teams, manage consultants, and ensure sustainability is integrated into decisions and community engagement.
- Governance & Compliance: Develop sustainability plans, identify and manage risks, and ensure contractors meet ESG and regulatory requirements.
- Performance & Reporting: Track sustainability targets, monitor data, and support ESG and climate reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive best practices, improve frameworks, and build sustainability capability within teams. Stay informed of sustainability best practice within major infrastructure delivery
The successful candidate will have:
- Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Built Environment or similar.
- Demonstrated (7+ years) experience delivering within major infrastructure or complex capital project environments.
- Proven experience embedding sustainability requirements into design, procurement and construction delivery.
- Strong working knowledge of infrastructure sustainability rating tools (e.g. IS, Green Star, or equivalent).
- Experience establishing sustainability KPIs, managing data systems and producing accurate, auditable reporting.
- Experience working with D&C contractors and managing sustainability obligations through contracts.
- Highly developed project management, stakeholder engagement and report writing skills.
- Experience working within regulated infrastructure or airport environments (desirable).
- Experience in the application of Environmental Management Systems and associated assurance processes. (desirable).
