We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Electrical Network Engineer to join our Engineering and Asset Management team. Reporting to the Electrical Infrastructure Asset Manager, you will be responsible for assets including voltage substations, generation systems solar and monitoring systems. The successful candidate will provide up-to-date accurate electrical network information, develop design briefs that will ensure capital works are accurately budgeted, and implement process improvements through project delivery and completion.

The intention is for the successful applicant to share this role on a one-year fixed term with an experienced Electrical Networks Engineer who is working part-time following a period of parental leave with an opportunity for extended employment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Electrical Infrastructure Asset Manager capital plan with effective planning and budgeting.
  • Provide technical insights and a proactive can-do attitude.
  • Develop design briefs and carry out design reviews that will ensure capital works are accurately budgeted.
  • Support the Electrical Infrastructure Asset Manager capital plan with effective planning and budgeting for electrical network upgrades as required.
  • Ensure all HV assets and primary LV asset information is accurate, reliable, and up to date, including management of the APAM electrical documentation suite.
  • Assess impacts to existing infrastructure including network capacity modelling, impact of developments, and repex planning.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrable technical proficiency with electrical infrastructure
  • Relevant Engineering and Technical services operations and / or project delivery experience is preferred.
  • Core understanding of key asset requirements through the life cycle from Briefing to Maintenance
  • At least 5-years relevant electrical infrastructure engineering and technical operational and project delivery experience
  • Experience in a consulting firm will be highly regarded
  • Understanding of digital-engineering software processes and workflow
  • Implement process improvements at through project delivery and project handover ensuring electrical asset information will be better managed and kept up to date.
