Ready to make a real impact in healthcare? Join our dynamic team as Deputy Principal Educator and deliver excellence in clinical education and training across our health service!

Your Responsibilities include:

  • The provision of clinical education, training and support to the multi-disciplinary health team including professionals, post-graduate students, interns and undergraduate and diploma students at MDHS
  • Promote and maintain the values and principles that underpin best practice in relation to adult learning and clinical education
  • Contribute to a range of multi-disciplinary committees, working groups, advisory groups, communities of practice, programs, projects and initiatives across MDHS
  • Develop clinical education-related policies, procedures and other documents in consultation with key stakeholders
  • In collaboration with clinical managers, contribute to the planning, development, promotion, implementation and evaluation of interprofessional clinical education initiatives/projects across MDHS
  • Coordinate high-quality written materials including reports, meetings, publications, and education resources
  • Support the planning and writing of educational research grants, papers, expressions of interest applications and other funding opportunities
  • Promote and drive a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating the quality and outcomes of clinical education programs, including their relationship to patient care

Your Qualifications and Skills will include:

  • Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife
  • Diploma in Nursing Education or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of education/training programs for health professional staff and/or students
  • Extensive experience and expertise within a clinical education role at a senior level
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage programs, projects or service areas within a Clinical environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of current educational policy, trends and projected directions for the Clinical workforce within the healthcare, government and/or tertiary education sectors
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning theories, principles and application in the workplace
  • Well-developed ability to collaborate, foster relationships and network effectively in the design and delivery of clinical education and training initiatives
  • Advanced analytical, systems-thinking, project/program management and report writing skills
  • High level computer literacy
