As a Dental Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality dental services to our rural community.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Provide chair-side assistance to oral health professionals during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and high-quality care.
  2. Prepare and maintain dental surgeries, including the selection and preparation of instruments, materials, and equipment, while adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  3. Undertake reception and administrative duties, including maintaining accurate client and clinic records, managing stock, and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
  4. Contribute to a culturally appropriate and inclusive environment by working cooperatively with team members and responding sensitively to the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds.

About you

  • Qualified Dental Assistant with a Certificate III or above.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing clinical support in a dental setting.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks and setting work priorities effectively.
  • Culturally sensitive and responsive, able to work appropriately with clients from diverse backgrounds and meet their specific needs.
  • Team player with the ability to work cooperatively in a collaborative environment.
  • Professional presentation and behavior, especially in client-facing roles.
  • Administrative skills, including record-keeping and managing clinic operations.
