Are you someone who takes pride in making a real difference to people's day? Do you thrive in a hands-on environment where no two days are the same? If so, we'd love to welcome you to our team at Maryborough District Health Service (MDHS), Maryborough Campus!

We're on the lookout for a passionate and reliable Food & Domestic Assistant to help us deliver exceptional food and cleaning services across our organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that genuinely cares β€” about each other, and about the people we serve.

What You'll Be Doing

In this varied and rewarding role, you'll be the backbone of our support services team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out all food delivery and cleaning services activities throughout the organisation
  • Ensuring food and cleaning services uphold best practices and MDHS values
  • Problem solving with initiative, flexibility, and great attention to detail
  • Providing excellent customer service to MDHS teams and external consumers
  • Communicating effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Managing your time efficiently while working both independently and collaboratively with others

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is motivated, adaptable, and ready to hit the ground running. To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:

  • Initiative, flexibility, and a sharp attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills that put people at ease
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities
  • The capability to work autonomously as well as part of a close-knit team
  • Availability across 7 days a week β€” ideal, but not essential

If you believe you have the skills and enthusiasm to excel in this hands-on support services role, we encourage you to apply. Experience is valued, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn go a long way here!

Why join us?

We pride ourselves on being a supportive and inclusive workplace, where staff feel valued and encouraged to grow. You'll be joining a cheerful, hardworking team who truly put people first.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and those returning to the workforce.

If you have good availability, strong communication skills, and a flexible approach, we'd love to hear from you.
