We are seeking a professional and capable Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Enthusiastic - Passionate about patient care and the dental field
  • Independent - Can work with minimal supervision when needed

The Dental Assistant will play a key role in assisting the dentist and hygienist with treatments, preparing instruments and materials, ordering supplies, and managing patient records. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing treatment rooms and equipment for patient procedures
  • Assisting dentist during complex treatments
  • Assist in the provision of care to clients under General anesthetic with in the MDHS theatre setting
  • Completing radiographic tasks as directed and within scope of practice
  • Educating patients on dental care and treatment plans
  • Tracking inventory and placing orders when supplies are low
  • Maintaining patient treatment records
  • Ensuring infection control standards are adhered to
  • Participate in the implementation of new models of care
  • Actively engage in operational activities including electronic communication, meetings, accreditation requirements or other
  • Assisting in reception as required

The applicant will hold a Dental Assistant certification.
