Maryborough District Health Service (MDHS) is seeking a reliable and motivated Food & Domestic Services Assistant to join our Hospitality Services team at our Avoca campus.

This is a hands-on, community-focused role where you’ll support meal services and maintain a clean, safe environment for our residents, patients, visitors and staff.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with breakfast and lunch meal services
  • Ensure safe food handling practices are followed
  • Complete cleaning duties in line with infection control and cleaning standards
  • Maintain cleaning schedules and required documentation
  • Deliver friendly, respectful customer service
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment

About You

You will bring:

  • Good availability and a flexible approach to work
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a similar role (desirable, not essential)
