Permanent part-time up to 72 hours per fortnight, including dedicated study time to support completion of a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery apprenticeship.

We're looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our kitchen team as an Apprentice Cook, where you'll complete a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery while earning, learning, and building valuable industry skills.
What You'll Be Doing
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking nutritious, delicious meals for patients, residents, and staff in line with individual dietary requirements and care plans
- Assisting with the preparation of texture-modified meals and specialised diets
- Upholding high standards of food safety, hygiene, and infection-control practices at all times
- Monitoring food quality, portion control, and meal presentation to ensure every plate meets our standards
- Following workplace health and safety procedures specific to a healthcare environment
- Assisting with stock rotation, inventory management, and thorough kitchen cleaning
- Collaborating closely with kitchen team and healthcare staff to support the nutritional needs of residents and patients
- Building your professional cooking and food service skills throughout your apprenticeship journey
