About the Role

Mansfield District Hospital is seeking passionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our Peri-Operative Services team in a casual capacity.

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care throughout the surgical journey. Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to pre-operative assessment, intra-operative support, and post-anaesthesia recovery, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients and their families.

Flexibility is key in our rural health environment. You may occasionally be required to support other clinical areas across the hospital to meet patient care needs and staff coverage requirements.

About You

You are a motivated, compassionate nurse with a genuine passion for providing exceptional care in a rural setting. You demonstrate clinical excellence, are a strong team player, and possess the ability to work autonomously when required.

You will also bring:

  • A current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • A Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in a generalist or perioperative environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of current legislation, standards, and guidelines (e.g. National Standards, Aged Care Standards)
  • A patient-centred approach and advocacy skills
  • A commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • Minimum two years' post-graduate nursing experience
  • Recent experience in perioperative services
  • Membership in a relevant professional body
  • Experience in quality improvement initiatives
