Are you a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Officer to join our dedicated Maintenance team and play a vital role in supporting the safe, secure, and efficient operation of our health service facilities.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for performing general and preventative maintenance to ensure our buildings, grounds, equipment, and facilities are well maintained, visually appealing, and compliant with relevant safety and regulatory standards. Your work directly supports the wellbeing of our patients, staff, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance across buildings, plant, and equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation for gardens, lawns, and grounds.
  • Undertake various tasks such as window cleaning, minor repairs, and general upkeep.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks with a focus on safety.
  • Maintain external areas including clearing drains and paved surfaces.
  • Manage waste and recycling in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Conduct daily follow-ups on staff-raised maintenance or security concerns.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies related to plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
  • Accurately document all maintenance work and activities.

About You

You’re a reliable and practical individual with a good understanding of property and equipment maintenance. You thrive in a team environment but can also work independently with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and compliance.

Desirable:

Previous experience as a Maintenance Officer within a hospital setting
