Director of Clinical Services

As the Director of Clinical Services, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare at MDH — leading with innovation, driving clinical excellence, and ensuring our patients and community receive Great Care – consistently and every time.

• Lead and inspire our clinical services (excluding allied health) with strategic vision and operational excellence.
• Act as a role model and mentor for our nursing teams and emerging leaders.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and safety in all aspects of care.
• Collaborate with Executive, Board and community partners to strengthen MDH’s profile as a leading rural health service.
• Champion our values of Respect, Empowerment, Teamwork and Great Care.

✨ What you’ll bring:

• Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA, supported by tertiary qualifications in health service management (or equivalent).
• Extensive senior nursing and clinical management experience (regional/rural background highly valued).
• Proven ability to lead with confidence, foster positive culture, and manage change with resilience.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary clinical practice, workforce planning, and quality and safety standards.
