Mansfield District Hospital

Shape Communication. Strengthen Community. Start (or grow) your career with purpose.

Mansfield District Hospital is offering an exciting full-time opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic and supportive Allied Health team. We warmly welcome applications from New Graduates, Grade 1 and Grade 2 clinicians — whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on your early career experience.

This is more than just a role — it’s a chance to make a genuine impact in a connected rural community, where your work is visible, valued, and deeply meaningful.

Why this role stands out

At Mansfield District Hospital, you won’t be “just another clinician.” You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that is innovative in its approach and committed to delivering person-centred, community-driven care.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work across diverse settings including local schools, early learning centres, and healthcare environments
  • Develop a broad, generalist skillset with exposure to paediatric, community, acute and aged care presentations
  • Be supported through structured supervision, mentoring and professional development — particularly for new graduates
  • Contribute to and help shape programs that respond to real community needs

About the role

Based within our Primary Care Centre, this role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based speech pathology services to clients across the lifespan. A significant component of the role involves working within education settings, supporting children and families early in their communication journey, alongside opportunities to work within acute and aged care services.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about person-centred care and improving communication outcomes
  • Enjoys working as part of a team while also building strong community relationships
  • Is motivated to learn, grow, and innovate within their practice
  • Holds (or is eligible for) membership with Speech Pathology Australia

What we offer

  • A supportive and inclusive team culture where your ideas are welcomed
  • Strong focus on learning and development, tailored to your level of experience
  • The chance to live and work in a beautiful regional setting, with a genuine work-life balance
  • The ability to make a real difference in a close-knit community

Our Commitment to Inclusion

At Mansfield District Hospital, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating a culturally safe, inclusive and respectful workplace.

We warmly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work. We value the knowledge, strength and leadership that First Nations peoples bring to our organisation and community.

We also welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, cultures, abilities, genders, sexual orientations and identities, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

We are committed to building a workforce that reflects the community we serve and to fostering an environment where everyone feels safe, supported and empowered to thrive.
