About the Role

In this role, you will deliver personal and lifestyle care to our residents, supporting them with daily activities including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing. Working under the direction of senior staff, you will contribute to care planning, monitor changes in health and wellbeing, and help residents feel safe, secure, and respected.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualised care that supports resident dignity and independence
• Assist with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and feeding
• Support daily lifestyle activities and routines
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health to clinical staff
• Promote a safe, clean, and respectful environment in line with hospital policies
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Participate in quality improvement activities and staff meetings
• Complete and maintain all mandatory training and competencies

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to providing resident-centred care
• Demonstrated alignment with Mansfield District Hospital’s values
• Evidence of current Flu vaccination

Desirable:

• Experience in residential aged care
• Competency using IT systems including Microsoft Word and Outlook
• COVID-19 vaccination (as per ATAGI recommendations)
