Applications for 2026 registered nurse graduate position:
To apply for a graduate nurse position at Mansfield District Hospital, graduates must be eligible and meet the essential criteria for PMCV Allocation and Placement Service: www.gnmp.pmcv.com.au
Application Instructions:
Please provide the following with your application:
1. Letter of application
2. Completed Application for Employment Form, download from http://mdh.org.au/employment-overview/
3. CV – including clinical placement history and two professional/clinical referees (please include work email addresses)
4. Certified copy of academic transcripts with results legend
5. A Passport sized photo
6. Two most recent ACUTE (not aged care) clinical placement reports
7. Current Police check, WWCC & immunisation history to be presented upon successful appointment.
As part of the Central Hume Graduate Nurse Program, Mansfield District Hospital offers some unique experiences:
- 3 nursing positions 0.8 EFT (4 days a week). Rotations in Aged Care and Acute. Exposure days in Urgent Care and Theatre. One-week clinical experience at Mt Buller Medical Centre* (subject to arrangement*)
- 1 Nursing - Aged Care position 0.8 EFT (4 days a week). Rotation between two Aged Care facilities. Exposure days in Visiting Nursing Service (VNS – community nursing)
- Individualised support and professional development
- 5 days a Week Clinical Nurse Support
- 3 days a week Clinical Educator availability
- Participation in graduate nurse specific study days with graduates from other regional hospitals
- Opportunity to develop leadership skills within a supportive environment
- Develop an understanding and appreciation for the rewards and challenges of working in a rural Health Service.
