McNab is looking for a Market Intelligence and Insights Manager to help drive our next era of growth.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, and providing regular strategic insights to the CEO, Founder, and Business Unit Owners, this newly created role is key to building the strategic insight engine behind McNab’s continued expansion. We’re already leading the industry - now we’re focused on staying three steps ahead.
You’ll work across all McNab businesses - Construction, Developments, Supplyhaus, MBS, Electrohire and more - analysing macro trends, competitive dynamics, and future market forces. Your insights will shape how we grow, where we go, and how we stay ahead of the curve in everything from robotics and energy to pricing strategy, new business and investment opportunities, global partnerships, and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CMSO, Business Unit Leaders, CEO, and Founder
- Deliver quarterly reports, high-impact briefings, whitepapers, competitor reviews, and market-facing presentations
- Analyse trends across construction, development, hire, and building product sectors to identify risks, opportunities and investment opportunities
- Support go-to-market strategy, pricing strategies, customer segmentation, and business development planning—including benchmarking, productivity, energy, robotics, and emerging tech trends
- Assess international markets and global partnership opportunities
- Translate data into clear narratives and decision-ready recommendations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed a data-informed, market-aware culture across the Group
About You
- 5–10+ years’ experience in market research, strategy, or business intelligence - ideally in consultancy
- Proven experience guiding emerging market investment decisions and global partnership strategies
- Commercially savvy, with the ability to distil complexity into clarity and influence senior leaders
- Success driving strategy through data-led insights and strategic storytelling
- Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal - with a sharp eye for structure and detail
- Experienced in preparing executive-level briefings, investment assessments, and market outlooks
- Adept at synthesising data across diverse sources into clear, compelling insights and visuals
