At McNab, technology plays an increasingly important role in enabling how we operate and grow as a business.

We are continuing to evolve our enterprise systems landscape to support a diversified and expanding organisation. To help shape this next phase, we are seeking a Senior Enterprise Systems Architect to define and guide the architecture that connects our core business platforms, processes and data.

This is a new and unique opportunity to work closely with senior leaders across the business to design scalable, integrated systems that enable better decision-making, stronger operational efficiency and long-term growth.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Senior Enterprise Systems Architect will be responsible for defining and guiding McNab’s enterprise architecture across key systems and platforms.

This role will shape how our core enterprise systems work together across the organisation, with a particular focus on ERP, HRIS and enterprise system integration. You will establish architecture standards and governance, develop the enterprise technology roadmap, and partner with delivery teams and business leaders to ensure technology initiatives align with business priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and maintaining McNab’s enterprise architecture framework, principles and standards
  • Developing current and future-state architecture across business, application and integration layers
  • Leading architecture for ERP and HRIS platforms, ensuring scalability and alignment with business needs
  • Designing enterprise integration strategies across transactional systems and business workflows
  • Establishing architecture governance to support consistent and high-quality solution design
  • Partnering with business and technology leaders to translate strategy into practical technology outcomes

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Systems Architect who can operate at both strategic and delivery levels. You will be comfortable shaping enterprise architecture direction while working closely with teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable and aligned to business outcomes.

You will likely bring:

  • Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture across applications, data and integration layers
  • Demonstrated experience shaping or delivering ERP and/or HRIS platforms in complex organisations
  • Strong experience designing enterprise integration approaches (APIs, iPaaS, event-driven integration or similar)
  • Experience establishing architecture governance, principles and standards
  • The ability to translate business needs into clear technology roadmaps and architecture decisions
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across both technical teams and senior leaders

Experience within construction, property, project-based or supply chain industries will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Most importantly, you will bring a pragmatic mindset to the role - someone who can design and deliver strong architecture outcomes while ensuring technology solutions deliver real value to the business.
