Tender Submission Coordinator - Toowoomba (Office-based, Full time)
We’re looking for a strong communicator at the beginning of their career to join the Toowoomba Bids team and help bring our project stories to life through tender submissions.
With the approach of Brisbane 2032 and continued growth across our construction business, McNab is investing in the next generation of talent who can help shape how we present our projects, people and capabilities to clients.
This role is ideal for someone with a communications, marketing, journalism or writing background who enjoys turning technical information into clear, compelling content and coordinating inputs from multiple people to deliver a polished final product.
You don’t need construction experience - we’ll teach you that. What matters most is your ability to write well, stay organised and work collaboratively across a fun and supportive, high-performing team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Tender Submissions Manager, you’ll support the preparation and coordination of tender submissions across the McNab Group.
Tenders are how construction companies win work – they combine storytelling, strategy, project experience and technical detail to demonstrate why we’re the right partner for a project.
In this role you’ll help bring those submissions together by coordinating information, drafting written responses and ensuring our documents are clear, professional and submitted on time.
As your confidence grows, you’ll begin managing smaller submissions independently while continuing to learn from an experienced bids team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate information and content required for tender submissions across the business
- Draft and refine written responses using input from project teams and technical experts
- Work with Project Managers, Estimators and other stakeholders to capture project information and translate it into clear written content
- Assist with the preparation of proposals, capability statements and submission documents
- Maintain and update our project content library including case studies, CVs and company information
- Support the team to ensure submissions are accurate, well-presented and delivered on deadline
- Help identify opportunities to improve how we present information and tell our project stories
The Ideal Candidate
This role suits someone who enjoys writing, organisation and collaboration, and wants to develop their career in a professional environment where communication and quality matter.
You might be a recent graduate, or early in your career in a communications, marketing or writing-focused role.
You’ll bring:
- Strong written communication skills and a genuine interest in writing
- The ability to take complex information and turn it into clear, structured content
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Confidence engaging with different stakeholders to gather information
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
Experience with Microsoft Word is essential.
Exposure to InDesign or similar design tools would be beneficial but is not required.
Construction industry experience is desirable but not essential.
