Our Learning and Workforce Development Team is expanding, and we are looking for a for a passionate and people-focused professional to join us as a Workforce Development and Cadet Coordinator, based in our South Brisbane office.

About the role

This is your opportunity to shape the future talent at McNab by leading our expanding Cadet and Graduate Programs. This is a hands-on, people-centric role that combines education, coaching, and talent engagement in a fast-paced, high-performing construction environment. This role will see you undertake the following:

  • Drive the end-to-end coordination and delivery of the McNab Cadet Program and associated early career development initiatives. This includes the planning and execution of cadet learning days, training programs, and structured on-the-job experiences.
  • Building strong, strategic partnerships with schools, TAFE, universities, and industry bodies to attract future cadets.
  • Represent McNab at Career Expos, pre-employment programs and networking events across Southeast QLD.
  • Continuous improvement of our programs, ensuring best practise, feedback and industry changes are taken into consideration.
  • Maintain accurate program records and provide feedback to the business to ensure all cadets and graduates receive the support and exposure needed to build capability and succeed, including but not limited to attending regular resourcing meetings and being the voice of the program.
  • Keep connected with our cadets & graduates across all of our locations including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast & Sydney. This includes meeting them face to face so a willingness to travel to our locations is required for this role.

About you

  • Ideally you would have a solid understanding of construction and with a tertiary qualification in Construction Management or related discipline.
  • Prior experience working in roles such as Contracts Administration or Project Management with proven stakeholder management skills is desirable for this role.
  • You’re a natural leader, with experience coaching and developing team members.
  • You are someone who is driven and proactive, ensuring the best outcomes for the learning needs of our cadets and graduates
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • This role will see you attend all of our office locations and regions and therefore a willingness to travel is a key requirement for this role as is a current driver's licence.
