Information Security Lead

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Lead to own the development of McNab’s information security capability – establishing a clear, pragmatic security operating model that protects the business while enabling innovation and modernisation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Information Security Lead will lead the development and implementation of McNab’s information security strategy, governance framework and risk management approach.

The role will ensure cybersecurity is embedded into how we design, deliver and operate our technology platforms, while also strengthening organisational resilience through clear governance, incident readiness and risk visibility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing and evolving McNab’s Information Security operating model
• Developing and maintaining security policies, governance and risk frameworks
• Ensuring cybersecurity is embedded within major technology and transformation initiatives
• Managing cyber risk across the organisation and ensuring risks are clearly documented, monitored and reported
• Coordinating security capabilities delivered through internal teams and external partners
• Leading incident response planning and crisis readiness, including executive communication during cyber incidents

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity leader who understands how to balance strong security governance with practical business outcomes.

You will bring a strategic mindset combined with the ability to translate complex cyber risks into clear, commercial insights for business leaders.

You will likely bring:

• Significant experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, or information security leadership
• Experience establishing or managing security governance, risk and compliance frameworks
• Exposure to recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or equivalent
• Strong experience managing cyber risk in complex organisational environments
• The ability to engage confidently with executives and translate technical risk into business impact
• Experience working with external security partners or federated delivery models

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or similar will be highly regarded.

Most importantly, you will bring a pragmatic and collaborative approach – someone who can strengthen security while enabling the business to operate effectively and confidently.
