The Learning & Development Partner plays a pivotal role in designing and building content to drive the growth and capability of the McNab Group, by partnering with business leaders to understand learning needs and deliver tailored, impactful solutions.

We are currently preparing for 2026 and are happy to have this role commence in January.

Responsibilities include:

  • This role is much more than facilitation and will see you build, develop and enhance training content for e-learning and face to face training sessions.
  • Identifying and addressing legislative, competency, and capability requirements, while designing and delivering high-quality training programs that empower employees to excel in their roles.
  • Proactively building strong relationships across the business, ultimately contributing to a high-performing and future-ready McNab Group.
  • Partner with Leaders and our HR team to assist with mapping team capability, recommend solutions, support mentoring and progression.
  • Conduct learning needs analyses across business units, build on content and create fit-for-purpose pathways both technical & behavioural.
  • Ensure training programs are aligned with organisational goals, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Create opportunities for professional growth and facilitation of workshops, e-learning, technical training, and structured development pathways to meet both current and emerging workforce needs,
  • Embed our values, safety-first mindset and quality-always culture in every learning touchpoint.
  • Ensure continual content improvement to keep it fresh and future-focused.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Human Resources, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a learning and development role, with a strong track record of designing and delivering impactful training solutions. This includes content creation for e-learning modules as well as face to face training sessions.
  • Demonstrated capability in assessing and analysing learning needs to develop tailored programs that address competency and capability gaps.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey ideas clearly, facilitate discussions, and deliver engaging presentations.
  • You have a commercial and strategic mindset and know how to influence outcomes.
  • Bonus points for Construction Industry experience and knowledge of legislative and compliance requirements, with the ability to align training programs to industry standards.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or equivalent), demonstrating competency in facilitating and assessing workplace learning (desirable).
  • Previous experience using Articulate for e-learning would be highly regarded however not a requirement.
